What is a Consultation?
A consultation is where we get to know each other, discuss your needs and expectations. We will provide you an overview of our services, therapy approach, and discuss any questions you may have. Finally, we determine together whether it is a good fit and if so the next steps to start therapy. This is a casual conversation that can be over the phone or via our telehealth platform.
How long does a Therapy session Last?
A standard session lasts 60 minutes. However, we take a client-centered approach so we can discuss the amount of time that feels most comfortable and therapeutic to your needs.
How often do sessions take place?
Most often, sessions are held once a week to ensure the continuity of therapeutic work. In some cases, less frequent or frequent meetings are possible, depending on your needs and situation.
Is therapy for me?
Therapy is for anyone who wants to understand themselves better, improve their relationships, or cope with emotional difficulties. You don't have to have diagnosed problems to use support – sometimes the conversation itself helps to see new perspectives.
